Here are some tips for you to apply when using your washing machine everyday :
Always sort the laundry
Follow the wash code symbols on each garment label and the manufacturer's washing instruction. Sort the laundry as follows: whites, coloreds, synthetics, delicates, woolens.
Remember to choose temperatures correctly
Set temperature to 90" for normally soiled white cottons and linen (tea cloth, wels, tablecloth, sheets). Set temperature to 60" for normally soiled, color fast garments (shirts, night dress) in linen, cotton or synthetics fibres and for lightly soiled white cotton (underwear). Set temperature between 30"-40" for mixed laundry including synthetic fibers and woolens. Set temperature to cold for delicate items (net curtains)
Check your laundry before loading
Never wash whites and coloreds together. Whites may lose their "whiteness" in the wash. New colored items may run in the first wash; they should therefore be washed separately he first time. Make sure that no metal object are left in the laundry (e.g hair clips, safety pins, pins). Button up pillowcases, close zip fastener, hooks and propers. Tie any belts or long tapes. Treat curtains with special care. Remove hooks or tie them up in a bag or net. Remove persistent stains before washing. Rub particular soiled areas with a special detergent or detergent paste
Last but not least always counting your washing machine capacity
Washing machine have a different capacity. SO take a look the recommended loads of your machine. In general rules : cotton, linen will load drum full but nit too tightly packed; synthetics will load drum no more than half full; delicate fabrics and woolens will load drums no more than one third full. Washing a maximum load makes the most efficient use of water and energy. For heavily soiled laundry, reduce the load size.
